-My friend from High School Josh is apparently in Taiwan teaching english. Did not know this until I saw the feed on facebook. He’s actually been taking pretty solid images of the life and streets while he’s there. Have not spoken much to him (or anyone for that matter) in a good long time.
It’s actually not because I don’t “like” or no longer “care” about them, but its rather that when I commit to a person telling them that I consider them a friend to me, that label or internal/emotional placement I hold for them doesn’t disappear with time. There is no set “depths” or “levels” to my friendship that I extend to certain individuals. This is not to be confused to be being ‘friendly’ with an individual. It’s more based on a non-solicited or non-stated agreement with me and the person, with full awareness or not.
I am merely a firm believer in that irregardless of time or distance or frequency of communication, a friendship can just be as everlasting as the ‘love’ between lovers or family. It is incorporating the soul as well, is it not? But it’s up to the person really how they want to see the friendship as well. I won’t force a friendship to be establish, but merely that if I truly consider a person a friend to me, if there ever was time to chat for a second or for hours, I will always be open to the moment because frankly, I love my friends.
Which brings me to the end of this tangent by stating that, I am quite frankly happy to see these images the guy is creating and the life he’s experiencing.
So Cheers to Josh.
